Faculty Development Team

Beth McGuire

Beth is a Video Producer on the Emerging Media Communications team. She graduated from UNC Charlotte in Spring 2022 with a B.A in Communication Studies. She also double minored in Journalism and Film Studies and has hands-on experience in both fields. Videography is both her profession and her hobby. In her spare time Beth can be found editing for fun as well as writing and spending time with friends, family and her dog.

Sean Stallings

Sean is the Classroom Engineer who supports our hybrid classrooms on campus. He graduated from Winthrop University with a B.A in Technical Theater and a minor in Social Science, and he also earned a Teleproduction Technology Diploma from York Technical College. Sean has over 26 years of experience working in theater, broadcast and the audio visual industry. 

Marcus Peña

Marcus is a Broadcast Media Specialist in the Emerging Media Communications team. In his role, Marcus works with various groups on campus to provide video production and event services as needed. He also assists with educational and promotional videos made for various departments on campus. He is a former student employee with Emerging Media Communications and became a full-time member in 2020. Marcus is passionate about video production, live event production, and helping others achieve their goals.  
 

Natasha Stracener

Natasha leads the Emerging Media Communications team in support of academic video needs across campus in addition to managing large hybrid events and classes. She has been with UNC Charlotte since October of 2000. She was a former student employee for her department. After graduation she went to work at WSOC-TV as a Production Assistant. Natasha has worked on many different types of video projects over the years; including promotional videos, instructional videos, studio based television shows, and large hybrid events and classes. 

Jordan Register

Jordan Register is a Faculty Development Specialist with the Center for Teaching and Learning. She will graduate in May, 2023 with a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the Urban Mathematics Education program and a Masters Certification in Data Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She earned a B.S. in Mathematics and a Masters of Arts in Teaching Secondary Mathematics from UNCC and is certified as an instructor of Foundational Mathematics from the NC Department of Education.

Jules Keith-Le, M.F.A.

Jules Keith-Le is a Faculty Development Specialist with the Center for Teaching and Learning. Jules has been working as an educator for over 20 years and has varied experience in the public and private sector. Prior to joining the CTL, she served UNC Charlotte for 5 years as an Instructional Design & Training Specialist in the Learning and Organizational Development Department. She has been an instructor for the University of South Florida, Santa Fe College, Alachua County Public Schools.

Kim Buch, Ph.D.

Kim Buch, an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist in the Psychology Department, is a Faculty Fellow.  Her research is in the area of organizational and institutional change programs and their effects on individual behaviors and attitudes and on organizational structure and culture.

Tracy Rock, Ph.D.

Tracy Rock, from the College of Education, provides professional development for faculty addressing pedagogy, instructional design, and other topics that impact student learning and faculty satisfaction with their courses.
