ICYMI: The 2025 AI Summit

Over 200 UNC Charlotte faculty, staff, students, administrators, industry partners, and attendees from surrounding education institutions, convened at the Dubois Center for the 3rd Annual Charlotte AI Summit for Smarter Learning.

Key insights from featured sessions included:

  • Strategies to design more effective and ethical learning experiences with AI
  • Where we are headed as a campus in terms of supporting students, faculty, and staff with AI technologies
  • What different units on campus are doing to prepare university employees for the next generation of learners at UNC Charlotte
  • How industry partners are leveraging AI in the workforce, and
  • Perspectives on college level needs and potential directions for the future of AI across the disciplines at UNC Charlotte

The summit showcased over 25 presentations by Charlotte faculty on what they are doing with AI in the classroom, how they are using AI for research, and the ethical considerations they are making as they consider AI use in higher education.

The summit also welcomed a new and exciting session format called AI Stand Up Stories, where faculty shared their personal experiences and feelings about how AI has impacted their work and teaching.

We look forward to the fourth AI Summit in May 2026!
