QM Training and Support
We provide a number of QM training and faculty development opportunities, available at no charge. These workshops will help you as you develop your course for QM review and prepare you to become a QM Peer Reviewer if you are interested. For course development support, see DE Course Design Support.
Training
Designing Your Online Course (DYOC) – For people who are designing their first online or blended course. Includes an overview of the QM Rubric and provides a framework for participants to design an online course plan. Face-to-face, 4 hours.
Improving Your Online Course (IYOC) – For people who are redesigning an existing online course. Participants use the QM Rubric to review their own courses and develop a course improvement plan. Face-to-face, 4 hours.
Become a Quality Matters Peer Reviewer
What is required to become a QM Peer Reviewer?
- Must have taught an online course within the past 18 months.
- Successfully complete:
- Applying the QM Rubric (APPQMR) workshop – Face-to-face, one day; or online, two week facilitated workshop.
- Peer Reviewer Course (PRC) – Online only, two week facilitated course.
Upon completion, the faculty member will agree to complete a minimum of three internal course reviews within the first two years after successful completion of the QM Peer Reviewer Course.
