Scott is an Instructional Designer and Technologist in the Center for Teaching and Learning. He enjoys collaborating with faculty to design significant learning experiences and finding innovative ways to integrate technology to enhance effective instruction, specializing in making manifest the instructional aspirations of the faculty he works with. His 25-year journey in education has been a quest to bring fun and meaningful learning experiences to as many students as possible. He has taught at all levels from middle school through adults, pursuing research in the areas of information literacy, educational escape rooms and gameful learning, and the multi-modal application of active learning strategies.

Prior to finding a home at the CTL, Scott served in higher education as an instructional designer and technologist at Rollins College, where he hosted the Mr. Rogers Walking Tour Podcast, and at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s in English and from the University of South Florida with master’s in Library and Information Science.
