Accessing On-Campus Resources from Home
If you must work from home due to the University closing for an extended period of time, make sure you have access to on-campus resources from home. These include:
- Voice Mail
- Accessing Files and Resources from Off-Campus
- Library Resources
Accessing Voice Mail
Communication is extremely important in these circumstances. Students and others might leave voice mail messages on your office phone.
To check and play your messages from off-campus:
- Dial 704‑687‑5000.
- When the automated voice starts to talk, press the * key.
- Enter your ID number (your 5-digit phone/mailbox extension) then press the # key.
- Enter your pin, then press the # key.
You might want to change your greeting. Follow these steps to change your Primary personal greeting:
- Dial 704‑687‑5000.
- When the automated voice starts to talk, press the * key.
- Enter your ID number (your 5-digit phone/mailbox extension) then press the # key.
- Enter your pin, then press the # key.
- Choose Setup Options (option 4).
- Select Change Greetings (option 1)

Accessing Email
You can access your UNC Charlotte GMail from an Internet-connected computer by going to gmail.uncc.edu.
To login to GMail:
- Open your Internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.)<
- Go to the UNC Charlotte GMail site.
- When the login window appears, enter your NinerNET User Name and password and press Enter.<
- Your account will open to the Inbox.
Accessing Files from Off-Campus
Citrix

G Suite
You can use G Suite to access your files from off campus. Complete instructions can be found on the FAQ site.
Accessing Library Resources
Even if you cannot come to campus, you can access the Library’s electronic resources so you will be able to continue your research from home. Watch the How-To Videos to learn how to access library resources. Then go to the Library's Website to search for resources. When you click on a link for an electronic library resource, you will be asked to log in using your NinerNET username and password.
